The privacy of our members at PetGrowth.com are taken very seriously. The following will cover what information Pet Growth gathers, and how it is used. We take extra care in safe guarding this information. Pet Growth will never sell your personal information to third parties.
Log Files Every time you request a page through your internet browser data is stored in log files. This information includes your IP (Internet Protocol) Adress, ISP (Internet Service Provider), internet browser and version, computer OS (Operation System), date and time you visited, and what site you came from. All this is used for administration, research, development, and anonymous user analysis. This information is kept on a secure server.
Cookies and Web Beacons SMF (Simple Machines Forum) is the software we use to run Pet Growth. This software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.
We also use third party advertisements on Pet Growth to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes, showing local advertisements, and showing certain ads based on specific sites visited.
You can chose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site. This could include the inability to login into the forum.
Email Pet Growth will send out email notices from time to time, such as newsletter or important updates. If you wish to opt out of these notices you may do so by clicking on Profile -> Notifications and Email -> uncheck Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email.
