My sister adopted a kitten a few months ago... actually, right after I got Bunnie. Renae used the "Well if SHE can have a new pet, why can't I?!" and my parents gave in *rolls eyes*. But anyway... Bunnie & the cat (Nova) are the best of friends! Nova never does anything to harm Bunnie. Of course, they're always under very careful supervision regardless (I could never let Bunnie fall prey to anything... she's my babeh).

They jump around together (yes, when the kitten is playing with Bunnie... she goes into "hop" mode, as if she is mimicking her friend!) and follow each other all through the house. The other day when I had Bunnie's cage on the floor to lure her back in, Nova snuck in too & gladly began eating pellets with the rabbit! Even more amazing is that I've had a problem with Bunnie's aggression lately (time to get her spayed). She won't let anything foreign into her cage... but she's perfectly willing to share her beloved pellets with Nova!

Nova even gives Bunnie baths, & Bunnie holds perfectly still while her face is getting licked  Grin It's the cutest thing. I need to get pictures!

be wary of nova licking bunnie. cats and dogs carry germs in their mouths that can give bunnies pasturella.

Pasturella? I'll do some reading on it Smiley Thanks for the warning - I didn't even know.

My mini lop was mothered by my kitties, especially my big manx kitty Baby. I got Hunny spayed when she was five months old and she is now 1 1/2 and she has run of the whole house too and is trained to not chew on cords and other no nos. I just got a new bunny a few weeks ago, a Jersey Woolie that we named Ziggy Rocket. He is madly in love with Hunny and vice versa. They bonded really well. I am getting him fixed on Tuesday. Poor guy, but, it will establish his litter pan training to be good. Most people do not realize that rabbits get along very well with other pets.

My bunny and cat are the same way, though my cat is older and treats my bunny more like a child then a playmate. He gives her baths and puts up with her constant clingy-ness to him.Apparently it is very common for cats and rabbits to get along. I never would have guessed!
