I'm so excited. I got invited to Castle Rock this weekend, out to a family-owned ranch in a beautiful area. It's about a 45 minute drive from Denver, where I'm located.

Anyway they are a Foster Family - the wife, husband, and EIGHT kids...! Haha. They own a few horses and they just rescued a mare-in-foal who looks like she's going to give birth anytime now. They aren't sure what exactly to expect though, so I offered my help.

I worked at a breeding facility for about a year and a half.

They also have a young foal who isn't leading well and they want me to come out and train him, perhaps on a regular basis. That would be the coolest part-time job ever, and everything I ever dreamed of!!

I'm excited. I'll let you all know how it goes Smiley

That's really cool. The closest thing to that opportunity I've ever had is teaching one of my mom's cats to walk on a leash.

Horse training sounds like a much better part time job than what I have to do.  Although I don't know anything about training horses, lol.

That is so exciting Kara!!!  I worked on the horse farm where I currently board for 5 years and now I have a desk job... I would MUCH rather be back in the barns sweating my butt off!!  Lol!
That is super cool!!

Hahaha I know, right? If you read my other post about Lucky Little Penny (the mare-in-foal I mentioned on this topic)... I actually own that mare now! I need to train her under saddle.
