I have a pair that I bought a while ago, I think they are the Bamboo brand ones and guillotine style. They aren't so great. Well in a normal case they work fine. For example Stitch, she has small thin nails. But with Matisse, I have to cut her nails or else they grow into her paw, they split the nails sometimes. I think due to her Polydactylness Matisse's nails are a lot thicker than Stitch's. I was thinking maybe a pair made for dogs but I really don't know if there is a difference.

I really would like to cut her nails at home, Matisse isn't so travel friendly it scares the crap out of her... literally. Plus it would save me money in the long run. So if anyone knows of a really sharp heavy duty nail clipper let me know.

Hmm... I've never really paid much attention to grooming product brands honestly! The extent of what I know is $3.99 from Walmart or $14.99 from the pet store... haha Smiley

Hmm... well I decided on a pair of Safari Nail Trimmer for Cats. Only time will tell if they are good. Just need to find something else to qualify for free shipping...

So I ordered a laser pointer that runs on AAA batteries. I couldn't find one that ran on AA, but now I don't have to worry about the wasteful watch batteries. Also ordered a set of rechargeable AAA batteries, didn't need a charger since already have one that charges both AA and AAA.

I love how I wanted one thing and end up spending more just to save on shipping. Even though shipping isn't much at all. But I have been wanting the laser pointer for some time, so I guess it can be justified. I have to get my kitties in shape, lol.

Let us know how it goes with the laser pointer haha. I might need to get one for my fatty, too.

Well, I received the laser pointer today. I was kind of worried if it would be good or not since it was like $2.00 but it works good so far. I had the cats chasing it for a few minutes then they kind of sat there and watched it. But then again it's pretty late so will try again in the AM.

I use cat nail trimmers to clip my rat's teeth (her teeth don't line up properly so they have to be clipped to prevent them from over growing) and the ones I use are the Hagen cat nail trimmers, it's the same one my vet uses too. I've always been happy with them.

Haha yeah. They do grind, they're just incredibly slow and it takes forever, plus its loud and scares most pets.
