I was looking at the details of a sand substrate for hermit crabs and it lists that it's a good source of calcium. But do hermit crabs really eat the sand?

I think I remember my sister telling me they eat very tiny amounts of sand to help with digestion... but I could be totally wrong.

Yep, some only eat a tiny amount, but others will gorge on it  Tongue
