Is anyone affected by the current Toyota Recall?

Toyota is doing this to address the issue of the acceleration pedal that sometimes becomes stuck. There are also a possibility of the Prius being recalled for their break issues. This could potentially affect some Lexus models too.

If you experience your vehicle accelerating uncontrollably here is how you can safely stop your vehicle.

1) Shift the car's transmission into neutral.
2) Turn off the car's ignition switch.
3) Apply the car's brakes and pull over (note you will lose some of the power steering assist but the car is still maneuverable).

RAV4 2009-2010 model years (If the VIN starts with "J", the RAV4 is not affected)
Highlander 2010 model years (If the VIN stars with "J", the Highlander is not affected)
Tundra 2007-2010 model years
Sequola 2008-2010 model years

Recalled cars and crossovers

Corolla 2009-2010 model years (If the VIN starts with "J", the Corolla is not affected)
Matrix 2009-2010 model years
Avalon 2005-2010 model years
Camry 2007-2010 model years (If the VIN starts with "J", the Camry is not affected)

Non-Toyota

Pontiac Vibe 2009-2010 model years (The Vibe is similar to the Toyota Matrix)
