Great my Xbox 360 just RROD

Ugghhhh. Those not familiar with the RROD. It means it has the Red Rings Of Death. Mine has 3 red lights, which means it's a hardware issue. Basically right now my Xbox 360 is an expensive paper weight, door stop, bookend, and I could go on and on.

I just wanted to play something after a long day of studying, test taking, and working. But the Xbox 360 decided to die. I have new games on the way too.

The good thing is it's still under warranty. The things was made in 2-28-08, almost made it to 2 years old, poor thing. I have to call Microsoft tomorrow I'm not sure what they want me to send with it. I would assume I keep the hard drive, face plate, cables, etc.

Ive got two red rings on mine and it lasted for a year then it blew up. Mine was not under warrenty so its an expensive paper weight. I just bought a new arcade version cause it was faster then waiting on mircrosoft and almost cost the same. Plus mine was an orginal launch 360 so it mad alot of noise compared to the newer ones.

Have fun with no 360 for a month O.o Your gonna miss the launch of COD Modern Warfare2 and L4d2 is you wanted those games which sucks. I took off from work for L4D 2 Launch.

My husband and I found a way around that - buy at Costco. They have replaced something like 4 xbox's for us!

Yea i just bought an extended warrenty at walmart so if it breaks they replace it. Dont have to send it to Microsoft

I bought my 360 from Circuit City, I didn't buy an extended plan either. Good thing I didn't because they all went out of business anyways.

Painteds4Life, I was really looking forward to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo. I never had the chance to play the first one but I wanted to get this one for sure.

Here's the latest news. I filled out the repair information over at xbox.com and then I was supposed to print the shipping label out. Sounds simple right, well when the page loaded that had the label it had the infamous "red x" in the corner. I tried printing it anyways and nothing, just an "x" on a page.

Then I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX, and followed the voice commands desperately seeking a real person to speak to. After following multiple wrong paths I finally found a person to speak to. They informed me it could take up to 24 hours for UPS to have the label ready.

This could have been avoided if there was a message saying that it could take up to that long for it to appear... And the estimated time of getting my console back is 2 - 3 weeks from when I send it. On top of that my games I ordered at Best Buy are already shipping...

2-3 weeks if everything goes right. My friend sent in his elite and got an arcade version back lol. He had to resend it back and wait another 2 weeks

The shipping label never showed up so I emailed support. They said that I had to restart the repair request. I did that and it finally printed.

My xbox was shipped out on monday the 2nd, we shall see how long it takes. I was talking to the guy at UPS and he says he sends out roughly 2 - 4 xboxes a day. Sounds like it's a bigger problem than Microsoft is making it seem.

Btw the l4d2 Demo was hot!!!! Its a heck of alot harder on expert then the orginal! My friends and I had a heck of time just trying to beat the demo on expert lol.

There are so many good games coming out or already out, I don't know what to do lol. My console is on it's way back according to UPS it will be here on the 16th. It is currently on it's way to Syracuse, NY from Mesquite, TX. If it makes it on time it will be exactly 2 weeks.
