I'm curious as to what other chinchilla owners use for bedding. At first I tried Carefresh when we first got the chinchillas. It was kind of pricey so I gave Aspen bedding a shot. I wasn't that impressed with it so I've gone back to using Carefresh ever since.

When I only had one I used the Kaytee Soft-Sorbent.  I liked it, but when I added the other two little guys it got to expensive since I have to change their cage about every other day.  I also changed from a flat bottom cage to a pull out pan at that time and figured the softness didn't matter as much.  I now buy a big compacted cube of pine shavings at my locate chin ranch.  They don't hide the smell very well after a day or two, but they fit the budget fine!

i get it bulk from a distributor and  don't jack my prices up real high.  i also have aspen and pine.
